The Visit
The visiting tour follows an itinerary through the whole Monastic Complex, including the pre-Romanesque construction of “El Conventín”, the Church of Sta. María and the Cloister, all in a unique setting, in the heart of the Valdediós valley.
Your steps will take you and envelop you in the historical-artistic context of such a special place, going through the spaces occupied centuries ago by its founders and inhabitants.
There are two options to visit the Monastery:
An Audio guided tour: at no additional cost, we will give you an audio guide to carry out the visit on your own, always subject to availability, so we recommend booking your visit online, being required for groups with more than 15 visitors.
The languages available are so far: Spanish, English, French and German.
Official guided tour: in this case, you will hire the services of an official guide, and you can get the tickets the same day of the visit or make a payment in advance, once the official guide selected for your group and date has been identified.

Access Hours
From April to September: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Sundays: from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
From October to March: from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Sundays: from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m
The Monastery will be closed on the following days:
Every Monday.
The 1st and the 6th of January
The 8th and 18th of September
The 25th of December.

- WITHOUT ACCREDITED GUIDE
Online Sale – It is required to book online for those groups with more than 15 visitors.
For your convenience, we offer you the possibility of reserving your tickets online for ensuring the availability of the audio guide terminals.
This modality is not available for groups guided by an oficial guide.
If you prefer, at the reception desk, other payment methods will be available: Visa, Master Card or cash.

These groups may use any of the following payment methods: Visa, Master card and cash, at the reception desk before starting the guided tour.
In any case, they have to book the starting time in advance.
Advance payment by bank transfer: exclusively for those groups that are guided by an official guide, as long as the transaction is made earlier than 7 calendar days of the date of the visit; previously, they must request it and follow the instructions that will receive by contacting us via email at the following email address: reservas@monasteriovaldedios.com
